A Case of Mesenteric Cyst

Abstract
|
|
|
A case of mesenteric cyst complicating colon obstruction was reported.
A nine year old boy was addmitted to the Department of general surgery, Seoul Red Cross Hospital on Oct, lo. 1968.
His chief compaints were movable adult fist sized mass, abdominal pain, jelly-like stool and diarrhea.
The cyst was located in the transverse mesocolon and single.
Enucleation was impossible due to compromise of the blood supply to the transverse colon so resection and end-to-end transverse colo-colostomy was performed.
The size of the cyst was 7.8-6. 8-5.6cm
The post-operative course was uneventfull.
We have done review of literature about mesenteric cyst reporting a case treated at Seoul Red Cross Hospital.
